Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and flexible EEG Technologist to join our team on a PRN/as-needed basis to support outpatient EEG services in a neurology clinic setting. This role is ideal for someone looking for supplemental or flexible work and who is comfortable with an on-call style schedule.

The ideal candidate must be able to accommodate both scheduled EEG appointments made in advance as well as occasional short-notice coverage needs. Studies performed include routine and extended routine outpatient EEGs only.

This position requires strong technical skills, professionalism, reliability, and excellent patient interaction.

Duties

Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the testing process and ensuring patient comfort
Apply electrodes accurately according to the International 10-20 System
Perform routine and extended routine outpatient EEG studies
Monitor EEG recordings during studies to ensure quality and troubleshoot artifact as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information
Collaborate with clinic staff and interpreting physicians to ensure smooth workflow and communication
Maintain EEG equipment and supplies in proper working order
Follow all patient privacy, safety, and infection control protocols

Qualifications & Skills

Previous EEG experience preferred
ABRET credential (R. EEG T.) preferred
Knowledge of neurophysiology, electrode application, and EEG acquisition techniques
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently in a PRN environment
Must be dependable, responsive, and flexible with scheduling availability
Experience in outpatient neurology or clinic settings is a plus

Schedule & Position Details

Compensation is paid per study
PRN / as-needed position
No guaranteed hours
Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs and patient volume
Availability for both pre-scheduled appointments and occasional short-notice coverage is highly preferred
Outpatient routine and extended routine EEGs only (no long-term monitoring or inpatient coverage)

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
