Full Job Description

Title: Pricing Department Specialist Date:

Reports to: Pricing & Billing Manager

Summary: Provides business support by processing pricing documentation, publishing rates and accessorials; maintains pricing tables and maintains rating programs to ensure proper rates/accessorials are billed. Ensures loads are billed and investigates/resolves short pays to ensure optimal organizational support. Reviews customer/broker contracts with intent to protect PTL’s interest. Negotiates contract language to minimize company’s risk with customers and potential customers. Working with customers to ensure they have documentation needed regarding our insurance coverage, certifications, etc.

Major Duties:

· Reviewing and negotiating all customer and broker contracts.

· Customer contract compliance and resolution tracking.

· Processing contracts, pending through execution.

· Lead person for processing bids.

· Attending the bid launch calls to understand the dynamics of the opportunity.

· Working with Sales in producing pricing proposals.

· Publishing rates and accessorials.

· Giving spot pricing.

· Uploading pricing into the rating program.

· Billing loads with proper rates/accessorial charges.

· Investigate and resolve short pays – process revenue adjustments timely.

· Process load confirmation sheets, emails and other authorizations regarding special billing and apply charges/deductions to invoices.

· Attend onboarding calls with salesperson and other departments to ensure a smooth start up for new customers.

· Process overcharge claims.

· Prepare held bill list to bring focus on aging unbilled orders.

· Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements/Work Area Conditions:

Educational/Experience:

Two years related experience with no college, one year with some college, and zero if have a college degree. Prefer BS, Business with an area in finance/accounting.

Physical:

· Continuous sitting, repetitive keyboard movements, telephone communications in a fast-paced environment.

Special Skills:

· Keyboarding, computer operation and both verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Excel. Analytical ability. Organized and Detail Oriented.

Environmental:

Office environment.
