Position- Travel MRI Tech
Shift-2:00 PM–10:30 PM or 2:30 PM–11:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday - 16 hour guaranteed
Location- Port Huron, MI
Pay- $60 to $62 Hourly

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel MRI Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging tailored to patient needs. Your expertise will facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical environments, supporting a broad spectrum of radiology and diagnostic services.

Key responsibilities include operating MRI scanners with precision, performing complementary imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access techniques, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation. Your role is vital in delivering comprehensive patient care through proficient use of medical imaging equipment, maintaining equipment safety procedures, and applying your knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners effectively to acquire high-quality images for diagnostic purposes while adhering to equipment safety procedures.
Perform additional imaging procedures including CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, sonography (ultrasound), and vascular access techniques such as IV insertions.
Ensure patient safety by following established protocols, including aseptic techniques and patient positioning.
Assist in the preparation and operation of other medical imaging modalities such as radiology equipment, ensuring accurate image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation.
Maintain detailed documentation within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for efficient image storage and retrieval.
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, providing compassionate care and clear communication about the process.
Follow all safety regulations related to medical imaging equipment operation, radiation safety, and infection control.
Support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MRI scanners and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive diagnostic assessments based on imaging results.
Stay current with advancements in radiology techniques, medical terminology, and physiology knowledge to enhance service quality.

Experience

Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting with a solid understanding of medical imaging principles.
Familiarity with complementary modalities such as CT imaging, DEXA scanning, sonography, and vascular access procedures.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology protocols, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
Experience with medical equipment operation including PACS systems and other radiological tools.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications in MRI safety or vascular access are preferred.
