Full Job Description

Surf Side Hotel is seeking a friendly, dependable, and guest-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, our Front Desk Agents play an important role in creating the warm, welcoming experience our hotel is known for.

The ideal candidate is professional, personable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and is willing to work as part of a team to ensure every guest has an exceptional stay.

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

Welcome and check in guests in a friendly and professional manner
Assist with check-outs, reservations, payments, and room inquiries
Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information about the hotel
Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns
Provide recommendations and information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and the Outer Banks area
Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve guest needs
Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
Help create memorable guest experiences through attentive and personalized service
Follow hotel policies and procedures while handling guest information and payments

Qualifications

Previous hotel, resort, or customer service experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Comfortable using computers, phones, and reservation systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
Bilingual skills are a plus
Flexible availability to work morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
