Office Location: South Shore, MA (Travel throughout assigned service areas)
Compensation: Fee-Based Position – Equivalent to approximately $85.00 per hour*
*Compensation is paid per completed evaluation. Final offers are based on experience, qualifications, skill set, and location.
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 – Fee-Based Position
Bonus paid in two increments; terms apply.

About the Role
The Arc of the South Shore is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to conduct in-home evaluations for individuals enrolled in the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program. As a PCM Nurse Evaluator, you will assess consumers' functional abilities, determine personal care needs in accordance with MassHealth regulations, and help ensure individuals receive the supports needed to remain safely independent in their homes.
Under the direction of the PCM Director, you will work closely with consumers, family members, surrogates, occupational therapists, and PCA program staff to complete comprehensive functional assessments and maintain compliance with MassHealth guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-home PCA re-evaluations for MassHealth consumers.
- Supervise and participate in initial PCA evaluations alongside Occupational Therapists as required by MassHealth regulations.
- Assess and document consumers' functional abilities using MassHealth evaluation tools and guidelines.
- Schedule evaluations and maintain timely communication with consumers, surrogates, and program staff.
- Travel throughout assigned service areas to conduct home visits and functional assessments.
- Complete and submit accurate evaluation documentation, billing, and payroll information.
- Maintain required productivity standards and evaluation timelines.
- Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with consumers, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database systems, email, and internet applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing a flexible schedule and travel requirements.
Screening Requirements
Candidates must complete required background clearances, including:
- Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
- Sexual Offender Record Information (SORI)
- Fingerprinting
- Abuse Registry review
- Driving history review
