Full Job Description

TOPS Products is seeking a Business Analyst III to support and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) across our manufacturing and distribution operations in the United States and Canada. This role will serve as the functional owner for key manufacturing business processes and partner closely with Operations, Finance, Distribution, and IT teams to drive system optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong ERP experience who enjoys collaborating with business stakeholders, improving processes, and delivering impactful solutions within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll DoOwn and Improve Core Business Processes

Serve as the functional owner of Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, and Production Reporting within D365 F&O across manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
Evaluate current business processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Document workflows, procedures, and system configurations to support consistency and standardization.
Troubleshoot functional issues, support end users, and prioritize system enhancements and process improvements.
Partner with the Business Process Manager and other Business Analysts to ensure alignment and standardization across the organization.

Partner with Business Leaders

Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, validate solutions, and prioritize initiatives.
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Distribution, and IT teams to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and system configurations.
Communicate project impacts, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Support Testing, Training, and Adoption

Lead functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test plan development and execution.
Create and maintain process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Support change management initiatives and drive user adoption of system enhancements and process improvements.

QualificationsRequired

Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional ERP Analyst, or similar role.
Experience supporting ERP implementations and ongoing system support across multiple organizations or business units.
Strong experience working with Operations teams in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for managing user stories, defects, change requests, testing, and releases.
Experience configuring and supporting D365 F&O business processes, including:
Planning
Scheduling
Purchasing
Production Reporting
Master Data
Workflows and Approvals
Security Roles
Manufacturing Transactions
Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred

Experience supporting multi-site or multi-company ERP environments.
Previous consulting or ERP implementation experience.
Experience with financial controls, audits, or compliance requirements.
Strong data analysis skills utilizing Excel, Power BI, ERP reporting tools, or SQL.
Experience defining KPIs, measuring adoption, tracking exceptions, and quantifying process improvement results.
