Compensation
Competitive salary starting at 58,000 to 60,000, during the 90 day probation period to access candidates skills and training curve.
Salary range thereafter $65,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, demonstrated leadership, and the ability to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Additional earning opportunities include showroom sales commissions, profit sharing and business development incentives for self-generated client opportunities.

Position Overview
This is a full-time, salaried leadership position for an experienced luxury residential interior designer.
This is not an entry-level - our process and training offered for 3 months to those who qualify . We are seeking someone who has successfully designed and managed luxury residential interior design projects from beginning to end and is ready to step into a leadership role with minimal training.
The ideal candidate is passionate about design and equally comfortable leading client presentations, developing exceptional interiors, preparing proposals and design agreements, managing procurement, coordinating construction, mentoring team members, buying for the showroom, participating in marketing initiatives, and helping oversee the daily operations of the firm.

Key Responsibilities &
Design Leadership
- Design and lead luxury residential interior design projects from beginning to end.
- Develop creative design concepts, space planning, furniture layouts, finish selections, lighting plans, styling details, and custom design solutions.
- Present design concepts and recommendations with confidence and professionalism.
- Lead assigned projects while providing oversight, guidance, quality control, and support for projects managed by other members of the design team.
- Ensure every project reflects Bennett Interiors’ standards for design excellence and exceptional client service.
Project Management
- Prepare and review client proposals, design agreements, scopes of work, budgets, specifications, estimates, and project documentation.
- Manage project schedules, procurement, purchasing, vendor coordination, construction schedules, installations, and punch lists.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, consultants, vendors, and trades throughout every phase of the project.
- Read, interpret, and review blueprints, architectural plans, construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Review measurements, pricing, purchase orders, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Showroom, Procurement & Buying
- Participate in showroom buying, product sourcing, and vendor development.
- Oversee showroom merchandising, visual presentation, inventory organization, and product displays to ensure the showroom consistently reflects the Bennett Interiors brand.
- Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships while identifying new products and resources.
Leadership & Design Operations
- Mentor and support the design team while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Help develop, implement, and reinforce company policies, key performance indicators (KPIs), internal workflows, operational protocols, and quality control standards.
- Assist with oversight of studio operations, administrative processes, purchasing workflows, project profitability, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with bookkeeping to review invoices, purchasing, project financial reporting, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiencies, workflow, and the overall client experience.
Marketing & Business Development
- Participate in marketing initiatives, social media content, showroom events, networking opportunities, industry market, and community outreach.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Bennett Interiors brand.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, builders, architects, Realtors®, vendors, and industry professionals.
- Support business development efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Qualifications
We are seeking a highly accomplished luxury residential interior designer with a proven track record of successfully leading projects from beginning to end.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Approximately 8+ years of progressive experience in luxury residential interior design. Years and Time doesn’t always constitute experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience managing every phase of luxury residential projects—from client consultation through design, construction coordination, procurement, installation, and project completion.
- Boutique luxury residential interior design experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership with the ability to mentor team members, oversee projects, and reinforce company standards.
- Experience preparing proposals, client agreements, scopes of work, budgets, specifications, estimates, and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of procurement, purchasing, showroom merchandising, project profitability, and business operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, shop drawings, and construction schedules.
- Experience coordinating multiple vendors, consultants, trades, and installations.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, cabinetry, millwork, lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, tile, stone, and finish materials.
- Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.

Technical Skills
- AutoCAD proficiency required.
- Proficiency with Apple products, including Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
- Experience using Apple Keynote and Apple Numbers.
- Experience with Studio Designer preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar residential design software is a plus.
- Highly technical with the ability to quickly learn new software platforms and internal systems.

Schedule & Expectations
- Full-time, salaried leadership position.
- Standard office hours are 9:45 a.m. to 5:35 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an expectation of 40+ hours per week and flexibility to meet project deadlines and client needs.
- Participate in an alternating Saturday rotation with the leadership team to oversee showroom operations, support the design team, and maintain project workflows.
- Attend client meetings, installations, showroom events, networking opportunities, marketing initiatives, and industry market as required.
- Strong communication is essential. The ideal candidate understands that occasional after-hours communication may be necessary when time-sensitive matters arise.
