About Bee the Change

Bee the Change connects experienced educators with families seeking personalized academic support. We work with students from Pre-K through college and support a variety of educational settings, including public and private schools and homeschooling.

We are growing our network of experienced educators in Naples, Florida, and surrounding areas. We are interested in connecting with teachers, tutors, and education professionals who bring strong subject knowledge, classroom experience, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.

Position Overview

As a Tutor with Bee the Change, you will provide individualized academic support based on each student's needs, goals, grade level, and learning style.

Assignments vary based on your experience, areas of expertise, availability, and preferred teaching setting. Opportunities may include ongoing weekly tutoring, academic support, test preparation, enrichment, and homeschool instruction.

Assignments are conducted in students' homes throughout the Naples area.

What You'll Do

Provide engaging, individualized instruction based on student needs and goals.
Prepare lessons, activities, and instructional strategies appropriate for each student.
Help students with academic skills, homework, coursework, test preparation, and enrichment.
Monitor student progress and share appropriate updates with parents or guardians.
Build positive, supportive relationships with students and families.
Adapt instruction when students need a different approach or additional support.
Maintain dependable communication and arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions.
Maintain a professional and encouraging learning environment.

Areas of Instruction

We welcome educators with expertise in a variety of subjects, including:

Elementary education and general academics
Reading and literacy
Mathematics, from elementary math through calculus
English and writing
Science
Social studies and history
Spanish and other world languages
SAT, ACT, PSAT, and other test preparation
Executive functioning and study skills
Homeschool instruction
AP, Honors, and Dual Enrollment coursework
College admissions and academic coaching
Early childhood education

You do not need to teach every subject listed. We are primarily interested in the areas where you have significant experience and confidence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
At least 10 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
Strong knowledge of your subject area(s).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, dependable, and student-focused approach.
Ability to establish positive relationships with students and families.
Reliable transportation for in-home assignments in Naples, FL.
Ability to successfully complete a background check.
Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
