Full Job Description

Senior Accountant

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for supporting the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes.
Process and record weekly payroll
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations.
Review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Support annual audits and provide requested schedules and documentation.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information.
Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Assist in HR onboarding as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP software (Quickbooks).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
Experience in healthcare, or behavioral health organizations preferred.
