Overview

We are seeking a visionary Culinary Director to lead our food service operations with passion and precision. A solid team is in place and just needs a leader that can teach, mentor and get the best out of their staff. This dynamic role is perfect for a motivated leader who values food quality, taste and presentation while maintaining high standards of nutrition and food safety and is dedicated to enhancing the dining experience for our residents or clients. As Culinary Director, you will oversee all aspects of food production, team management, compliance with health regulations, and strategic planning to ensure exceptional culinary services that promote well-being and satisfaction.

The community is very service minded and a talented chef that enjoys special events, industry gatherings and meeting residents and families will thrive in this role.

Duties

Lead and manage the entire culinary team, including supervising food service staff, dietitians, and support personnel to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Develop, implement, and oversee menus that meet nutritional and safety standards, dietary needs, and resident care plans while ensuring quality.
Ensure compliance with all AHCA standards, state health regulation policies, food service health codes, and safety standards across all operations.
Manage budgets effectively by controlling costs related to food procurement, labor, and equipment while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Oversee food production processes to ensure timely delivery of nutritious meals that adhere to dietary guidelines and physiology considerations.
Implement food safety management protocols including regular staff training on hygiene practices, allergen control, and sanitation procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in food service management by analyzing operational data, patient feedback, and industry best practices.
Foster a positive team environment through leadership development, training programs, and performance evaluations aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within food service management or dietary departments in healthcare or assisted living settings.
Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, food safety management, and compliance standards related to food service health codes.
Experience with assisted living environments is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation effectively.
Extensive supervisory experience leading diverse teams within a fast-paced setting.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and training staff on best practices in food safety and nutrition.
