Full Job Description

*THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION*

JOB FUNCTION:

This engineering position will be responsible for engineering data, drawings, reports and technical information, specifically within the Foundations department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepares CAD layouts, Google Earth test map, and detail drawings for foundation recommendations.
Update project layouts and documents as needed through the completion of a project.
Organize and evaluate testing data using Microsoft Forms and Excel to determine foundation design.
Will use computer software and developed spreadsheets to analyze various structural design and testing requirements
Participates in product design meetings with other departments and present testing results
Support/supervise foundation testing field services
Create/develop testing methods, review quality and inspection process for foundation testing
Complete foundation testing maps, review, analysis, and reporting of results
Prepare calculation packages, technical reports and letters
Participates in conceptual foundation design meetings with other engineering staff to reflect product design intent.
Interfaces directly with the sales team, construction group, engineering team, and customers as needed to provide technical support
Read geo-technical reports and access pertinent information
Communicate with the field testing technicians reviewing data, test points, test site information

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Familiarity with Microsoft Forms and Google Earth Pro
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products focusing on Word & Excel
Troubleshooting through trial and error resolution
Problem solving
Willingness to learn new skills & processes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

2 years experience in Design and or engineering related field
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, design engineering or related field or a combination of experience and education
Ability to use CAD software preferably Autodesk AutoCAD 2D
Geotechnical/Construction foundation experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
