Full Job Description

Wood Personnel Services is looking to add a Staffing Coordinator to our team. This position plays an important role in helping candidates move through the hiring and onboarding process and get started successfully in their new assignment. You’ll conduct new-hire orientations, connect active candidates with available job opportunities, assist with interviews, and provide support to employees throughout the onboarding process. The role is primarily based in the office, with occasional travel to client locations as needed.

Staffing Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conduct new-hire orientations and guide candidates through the application and onboarding process
Connect with active candidates and discuss available job opportunities to help match them with the right opportunity
Assist with candidate interviews and other recruiting activities
Travel to client job sites as needed to check in new employees
Conduct onsite drug screens when needed
Assist with employee counseling, incidents, walk-offs, and workers’ compensation paperwork as needed

Please note: Hours must be flexible: New hire check-ins may occur as early as 5:45am or as late as 10:45pm. Work schedules will be adjusted accordingly.

Staffing Coordinator Skills and Qualifications:

Spanish / English bilingual preferred but not required
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across Middle TN
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in the field
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Prior experience in a customer service, recruiting, office, or service industry preferred
Comfortable with standard office technology and systems including Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and professional phone etiquette
General passion for working with and supporting people
