Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a crucial role in maintaining efficient clinic operations. Prior experience in medical office management, patient service, and clinical procedures is highly valued.

Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation; document accurately in medical records
Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support procedures
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD coding and detailed notes on patient encounters
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring all patient data is current and compliant with privacy regulations
Support medical office management by organizing files, processing billing and coding information, and handling administrative correspondence
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, explaining procedures, and ensuring a comfortable environment for all patients

Experience

Proven medical office experience with familiarity in outpatient settings such as family medicine, internal medicine, or urgent care clinics
Hands-on clinical experience including vital signs collection, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic anatomy and physiology knowledge.
Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory
Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding practices, and medical documentation standards
