The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the full-life cycle recruitment process, including the development and execution of attraction, sourcing, assessment, selection, and acquisition strategies for high quality candidates. Formulates partnership across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Works to build business capabilities, develop leaders, and drive change efforts. Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process, including EEO statistics. Ensures work and the department’s performance aligns with Company’s goals and objectives.
Position Responsibilities may include:
- Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies and specific recruiting programs to create a pipeline of diverse talent to help meet the business objectives.
- Develop, maintain and monitor written Recruitment processes and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient Recruitment operations.
- Manage a team of talent acquisition professionals and ensure they are meeting or exceeding established targets and goals. Ensure they are in compliance with work instructions and policies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention of employees to establish recruiting requirements..
- Use data and analytics to identify internal and external trends and metrics to develop solutions for talent acquisition and employee retention.
- Define, develop and roll out monthly/quarterly recruiting metrics (qualitative and quantitative) in collaboration with the leadership team and drives the narrative of our recruiting status with data.
- Partner closely with leadership and line management to optimize and drive an efficient recruiting process from talent attraction and candidate identification, to assessment, interview calibration, offer proposal and negotiation, through onboarding.
- Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Lead the recruitment technology platform strategy and ensures full optimization, utilization, enhancements and continuous improvement of the Applicant Tracking System and other recruitment tools.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, employment regulations, recruiting applications, etc.
- Participate in company projects that will enhance Talent Acquisition and other areas of the company
Nature & Scope:
- Develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the department/sub-function in an effective and innovative fashion
- Understands the business and can put together comprehensive department solutions
- Works with other leaders to establish strategic plans and works towards achieving them
- Provides leadership and direction to managers in their respective division/department
- Sees to department staffing needs (e.g. interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations, etc.)
- Participates in budget development and monitoring of expenses
- Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient knowledge with full-life cycle of recruiting processes, best practices and applications
- Strong knowledge of employment laws both US and state laws
- Strong leadership skills and abilities to develop a team that meets or exceeds expectations
- Strong change management skills and ability to recognize and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and ATS applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public presentation skills
- High level of attention to detail/accuracy and analytical skills including creative problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to use discretion and sensitivity of confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and “customer focus” with ability to positively interact and build relationships with all levels of a rapidly growing geographically dispersed organization
- Strong knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to apply excellent judgement, decision making skills including strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Experience:
- 15+ years developing Talent Acquisition strategy and processes/procedures
- 10 plus years in a leadership/management role
- High Volume Manufacturing environment experience is strongly preferred
Education:
- BA, BS Degree in Business or Human Resources related field
- Master's degree preferred
