Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Boring Mill - Manual Machinist - CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise in manual machining, CNC programming, and measurement will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a modern airconditioned facility, dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring precise execution of part specifications.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to produce accurate components.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling offsets; perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions and quality.
Conduct manual machining tasks using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools as needed for assembly or finishing.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts when necessary for material handling.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste throughout production.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving plastics injection molding or metal fabrication.
Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems.
Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or general CAD tools for part design review.
Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex component fabrication.
Ability to operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes efficiently with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills essential for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
Experience with tooling selection, setup, calibration, and maintenance of machining equipment.
Capable of working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
