The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Food Services Supervisor.
Proposed Schedule Includes:
8-hour shifts beginning between 5:30am - 10:30am (TBD)
Potential for weekends (additional $2.00/hour)

Summary:
The Manager of Dietary Services reports to the Director of Food Service and is responsible for supervision of staff, compliance with policies and procedures, and with maintaining current guidelines and regulations governing food and dietary services at the NH Veterans Home; ensures that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in food service management
License/Certification: Must possess ServSafe certification from the National Restaurant Association and Certified Food Protection Professional.

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP)
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities:
DETAILED TASKS (STANDARD):
DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):
Supervises dietary/food service staff, provides training, work performance reviews, and feedback; ensures that employees comply with quality, health, and food safety standards and addresses any personnel and performance problems and issues as they arise.
Preforms interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
Oversees the scheduling and the time keeping system for the dietary department, based on daily census, staffing, and special needs, throughout the facility.
Directs ongoing special functions involving food services for residents and guests.
Receives, investigates, and responds to resident concerns regarding dietary/food services, resolves issues when possible, and reports concerns to the Director of Food Services.
Makes recommendations to the Director of Food Services on work procedures and assists with documentation, reports, and inventory/supply planning.
Inspects equipment for safety and reports any issues to the Director of Food Services.
Performs Food Service Director’s duties in the Directors absence or unavailability.
