Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QC Inspector to join our team at Pittsburgh Laser Cutting. The QC Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment and contribute to the success of our company.

Responsibilities:

Perform visual inspections of sheet metal components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy of parts.
Conduct thorough inspections of surface finishes, welds, and other critical features according to established procedures.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
Identify and report any non-conforming parts or discrepancies to production personnel for corrective action.
Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with production team members to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
Operate and maintain Faro or Hexagon CMM arms proficiently for dimensional inspection tasks.
Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in quality control practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
Proven experience in quality control inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and quality standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
Experience operating Faro or Hexagon CMM arms for dimensional inspection tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies accurately.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
