Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven Escrow Officer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing real estate closings from start to finish, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing a seamless, professional experience for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

Review title commitments and identify requirements, exceptions, and potential issues.
Prepare and process escrow instructions, settlement statements, and closing documents.
Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to facilitate smooth transactions.
Conduct and manage closings in a professional, customer-focused manner.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, underwriter guidelines, and company policies.
Balance escrow accounts and disburse funds accurately.
Communicate clearly and promptly with all parties to maintain trust and transparency.
Collaborate with colleagues to support workload balance and maintain a positive office culture.

Required Skills & Qualities

Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical—must be able to spot discrepancies and prevent errors before they become problems.
Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to guide clients through the process with professionalism and empathy.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Organized & Reliable: Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying challenges and providing solutions.

Qualifications

Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow processes.
Proficiency with title/escrow software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ohio Notary Public license (or ability to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
