New Store Opening | Cottage Inn Pizza & Pub - Big Rapids, MI

Full-Time | $48,000 – $55,000+ annually (based on experience) +Growth

Help Build Something Great From Day One

We're opening an exciting new pizza and pub in downtown Big Rapids, and we're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. This is more than just another management position—it's an opportunity to help shape the culture, systems, and reputation of a brand-new restaurant from the ground up.If you're passionate about great food, developing people, maintaining high standards, and creating an efficient kitchen that guests can count on, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Kitchen Manager, you'll be the leader of our kitchen operations by:

Hiring, training, coaching, and developing an outstanding kitchen team
Leading daily kitchen operations with energy, professionalism, and accountability
Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
Managing inventory, ordering, food costs, and labor budgets
Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are consistently exceeded
Creating prep systems and kitchen procedures that promote efficiency
Working alongside the management team to deliver an outstanding guest experience
Building a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture
Being reliable, punctual, and committed to professional conduct.
Supporting a fast-paced environment during busy nights, game days, and special events

What We're Looking For

3+ years of kitchen management or executive kitchen leadership experience
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Experience managing food and labor costs
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory control
Ability to thrive in a high-intensity environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team
Pizza, QSR, scratch kitchen, or casual dining experience is a strong asset
