Chiropractic Assistant — Life Family Chiropractic of Portland

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly Hours per Week: Approximately 30–32 hours

Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM & 2:00–6:00 PM

About Us Life Family Chiropractic of Portland is a thriving, Upper cervical, patient-centered practice dedicated to helping families live healthier, more connected lives. We're growing, and we're looking for a warm, motivated, and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant to be both a welcoming face for our patients and a key player in keeping our office running at its best.

About the Role Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Do you have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and thrive in a dynamic environment? This is a dual-role position — part clinical support, part front desk leadership — ideal for someone who loves both people and the nuts and bolts of a well-run office.

What You'll Do

Patient Care & Clinical Support

Greet patients with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
Assist the doctor with patient care including initial consultations, re-examinations, and progress exams
Prepare exam rooms and track patient flow
Educate patients about care plans, payment options, and office policies
Represent the practice and promote chiropractic wellness at community events and health fairs

Front Desk & Office Operations

Schedule appointments and manage daily patient flow
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
Process payments and manage patient accounts
Verify insurance and submit billing as needed
Maintain accurate patient records in our practice management software
Track and report key financial data including daily collections, revenue, and expenses
Ensure the office remains compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant healthcare regulations
Manage office supply inventory and place orders as needed
Keep the front desk area organized and serve as a go-to resource for staff

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required
2–3 years of front desk, customer service, or healthcare administrative experience preferred
Prior chiropractic or healthcare office experience is a big plus — but we're happy to train the right person
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to lead
Highly empathetic, a good listener, and a natural problem-solver
Comfortable with financial reporting or tracking office metrics
Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, or healthcare compliance standards
Proficient with Google Suite and comfortable learning new software
Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
A genuine passion for health and wellness
