Full Job Description

Payroll Coordinator I

Location: Newington, NH
Pay: $23.00–$27.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Potential for Permanent Employment)
Department: Finance

Adecco is hiring a Payroll Coordinator I for a temporary maternity leave coverage role in Newington, NH. This is a great opportunity for candidates with payroll or administrative experience who are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with payroll processing and data entry
Review employee payroll records, pay changes, new hires, and terminations
Resolve timekeeping discrepancies and follow up on timecard approvals
Process staffing agency labor reports
Maintain payroll records and generate reports
Respond to employee payroll inquiries
Support payroll deductions, 401(k) reporting, employment verifications, and workers' compensation reporting
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of payroll, administrative, or related experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple priorities
Payroll system experience is a plus
