Full Job Description

CoWorx is seeking a CNC Programmer in the Charlestown, NH area!
The CNC Programmer is an independent role responsible for CNC programming, process development, and optimization of CNC manufacturing operations. This position works with a variety of CNC equipment including mills and lathes, uses CAD software and tooling applications.

Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision, performs varied and complex tasks
Programs, sets up, and operates a variety of CNC equipment
Applies skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area
Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position
May Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish some assigned tasks and goals
Resolves most questions and problems, may serve as a resource on several topics, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
May orient, train, assign and check the work of other employees
Uses computer-aided software such as CAM/SolidWorks, Understanding orders of operation
Writes the formulas necessary to program mills and lathes using CAM software
Maintains constant communications with Production and Leadership teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
Reduces set-up times and decreases cycle times for maximum efficiency

Desired Background/Skills:

High School w/3-6+ years’ experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/1-3 years’ experience
Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and on-the-job experience
Completes a variety of atypical assignments
Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
Works with a limited degree of supervision
Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Able to lift up to 35 pounds
Able to stand for entire shift
Regularly performs repetitive tasks
Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
