Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ophthalmic Assistant/Medical Assistant,. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment committed to excellence and innovation.

**Mandatory Travel to Satellite Locations Required**

Duties

Perform ophthalmic patient examinations, including eye refraction, visual acuity testing, OCT’s and tonometry.
Assist during exams and procedures by preparing patients and managing clinical procedures with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Conduct intake assessments by collecting patient histories and updating medical records with relevant information related to eye health and general health status.
Collaborate with team members on medical coding and billing processes related to ophthalmic services to ensure accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

2 years of recent experience in an ophthalmology office setting preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in other specialties may be considered.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record and Microsoft Office Programs.
Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics when applicable.
Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering eye refraction tests, and maintaining clinical confidentiality according to HIPAA standards.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records, documentation, and clinic workflows.
