Front Desk Guest Services AssociateAbout the Role
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Front Desk Guest Services Associate to join our hotel team.
As a Front Desk Guest Services Associate, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests. You will help create a welcoming experience from arrival through departure while supporting the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
This is a hands-on hospitality position. In addition to providing exceptional front desk service, team members are expected to assist with breakfast service, laundry, maintaining clean and inviting public areas, stocking supplies, and other operational responsibilities as business needs require.

What You'll DoCreate an Exceptional Guest Experience
- Welcome and acknowledge guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Perform guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, modifications, extensions, and guest requests.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and communicate professionally with guests.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities, services, policies, local restaurants, attractions, and directions.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and involve management when appropriate.
- Build positive guest relationships and help create a welcoming environment throughout the property.
Support Front Desk Operations
- Process guest payments and maintain accurate reservation and billing information.
- Follow established procedures for credit cards, cash payments, deposits, identification, and guest privacy.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required shift documentation.
- Communicate important information between shifts and departments.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status, guest requests, maintenance concerns, and special accommodations.
- Maintain the organization and professional appearance of the front desk workspace.
- Complete assigned shift checklists and operational responsibilities.
- Assist with night audit functions when scheduled and properly trained.
Maintain a Clean & Welcoming Hotel
Every team member contributes to the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
Front Desk Guest Services Associates may:
- Monitor the lobby, entrance, hallways, breakfast area, and other public spaces throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby.
- Wipe and sanitize counters, tables, and commonly used surfaces as needed.
- Vacuum, sweep, or mop public areas when necessary.
- Empty trash and maintain public-area waste receptacles.
- Assist with maintaining clean and properly stocked public restrooms.
- Perform routine property walks and identify areas requiring attention.
- Report maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or security concerns promptly.
Support Breakfast Service
Depending on your scheduled shift, you may assist with our complimentary breakfast service, including:
- Preparing and setting up the breakfast area.
- Monitoring breakfast throughout service hours.
- Replenishing food, beverages, coffee, utensils, plates, cups, napkins, and other supplies.
- Keeping tables, counters, and breakfast areas clean and organized.
- Assisting guests with breakfast-related needs.
- Cleaning and properly storing breakfast items and equipment after service.
- Following applicable food-handling, sanitation, and hotel procedures.
Assist With Laundry & Hotel Operations
Team members may assist with additional hotel operations during their scheduled shift, including:
- Folding towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other hotel linens.
- Organizing and stocking clean linens.
- Assisting with hotel laundry as assigned.
- Restocking guest, front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping supplies.
- Maintaining clean and organized work and storage areas.
- Assisting housekeeping and other departments with reasonable operational needs.
- Completing additional duties related to guest service and hotel operations as assigned.
During periods of lower front desk activity, team members are expected to remain engaged in assigned hotel responsibilities, which may include laundry, breakfast preparation, stocking, cleaning public areas, organizing workspaces, completing property walks, or assisting another department.

Previous hotel, hospitality, front desk, retail, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. We welcome motivated candidates who are willing to learn.
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus but are not required.
Schedule
Hotel operations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Scheduling may include:
- Morning shifts
- Evening shifts
- Overnight shifts
- Weekends
- Holidays
Availability requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Physical Requirements
This position may require the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, and perform routine cleaning and stocking activities.
- Handle, organize, and fold hotel linens.
- Push or maneuver laundry and supply carts.
- Lift, carry, and move supplies and other items associated with normal hotel operations.
