Job Title: Structural Field Manager
Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.
Overview:
The Structural Field Manager is responsible for ensuring projects proceed safe, accurate, and smooth. This position serves as a liaison with our subcontractors in the field. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor subcontractor work in the field, including project progress and safety compliance; communicate findings to project leadership
- Track execution and maintain proper documentation
- Support planning, scheduling, and execution of project activities, including maintaining schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and safety requirements
- Plan work schedules and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to the job site
- Complete and track equipment usage reports; assign accurate cost codes
- Ensure proper documentation of equipment returns and receipts
- Obtain, review, submit, and track project submittals to clients/owners
- Assist in preparation of monthly pay applications for Project Manager approval
- Solicit vendor quotes, assist with procurement, and prepare purchase orders for approval
- Track and report material quantities (used, on-hand, and forecasted)
- Prepare, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Track invoices and maintain organized records for field purchase orders
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including daily correspondence, reports, and records of communications
- Attend and participate in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 4–6+ years of experience in construction project coordination or assistant project management, preferably in heavy civil, water resources, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with large-scale civil projects such as dams, reservoirs, levees, or water/wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
