Job Summary
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Onsite – Bloomington, IL

Hours-7am-4PM-- may have some weekends when needed

Company is a leading third-party logistics provider committed to delivering efficient and innovative supply chain solutions. We are seeking a hands-on, Production Manager to oversee daily operations on the production floor and drive performance in our 3PL environment.

Job Summary

The Production Manager will be deeply engaged in the day-to-day floor operations, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication in both English and Spanish, and a continuous improvement mindset to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily production floor operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Partner with the planning team to align and optimize production schedules with customer demand and resource capacity.

Track production metrics and KPIs, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate closely with logistics, warehouse, and quality teams to streamline workflow and boost productivity.

Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all company policies. Supervise, coach, and mentor operations staff; provide training and upskilling.

Conduct regular performance reviews and deliver clear, actionable feedback. Partner with HR to drive training and accountability across the team.

Partner with onsite staffing agency to align headcount with operational needs.

Apply lean principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive 5S, process standardization, and adherence to operational procedures. Prepare and present production performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Proven experience in production management within a 3PL or logistics environment.

3–5 years of hands‑on experience managing operations teams, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience with production planning and scheduling tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, floor-focused operational environment.
