Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Clerk (Entry-Level) to support daily mail distribution and office operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy organized, hands-on work and want to begin a career in a professional office environment. No previous mailroom experience is required. Paid training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

Primary Responsibilities

Receive incoming mail, packages, and courier deliveries.
Sort and distribute correspondence to departments and staff members.
Prepare outgoing mail, shipping labels, and delivery documentation.
Verify package information before shipment or distribution.
Operate standard office equipment, including postage meters, scanners, copiers, and printers.
Maintain accurate mailing and shipping records.
Assist with inventory of mailing supplies and office materials.
Organize storage areas to ensure efficient document and package handling.
Support administrative staff with filing, copying, and document preparation.
Follow company procedures for secure handling of confidential materials.
Keep the mailroom clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
Complete additional administrative support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
No previous experience required.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to lift and move packages within standard workplace guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with shipping and mailing procedures is helpful but not required.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office.
Strong time management skills.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
