Full Job Description

Job Overview
Valley Forge Manufacturing Labs is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Packaging Production Manager to oversee and manage packaging operations within its manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring packaging activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), internal procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily packaging operations including filling, labeling, coding, cartooning, case packing, and palletizing, activities.
Coordinate packaging schedules and staffing to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
Monitor packaging line performance, efficiency, downtime, scrap, and labor utilization.
Monitor employee compliance with PPE requirements, safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and GMP expectations.
Track and report packaging metrics including productivity, efficiency, downtime, scrap, and labor performance.
Support deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and corrective action activities related to packaging operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing and operational objectives.

Experience

Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, demonstrating leadership in fast-paced environments.
Strong understanding of production planning, workflow optimization, and quality control principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging, production, or manufacturing operations within a cosmetic, OTC, pharmaceutical, food, FDA-regulated, or cGMP manufacturing environment preferred.
Minimum of 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing or packaging operations preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
