Job Summary

Summary: MUST BE HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANT DIPLOMA. AFC Urgent Care is looking for an Practice Manger - Lead Medical Assistant worker to staff our brand new, state of the art urgent care center. Our ideal candidate has all the qualifications listed below, but that's only part of it. The most important part: you treat our patients with the respect and care that you'd treat a member of your own family.

Everyone walking through our doors is there because they're sick and need help. We're here to send them home with a smile. If we can't do that, we've failed. Successful candidates for this position will never need to be told this twice.

You will help lead a team at the center level to make sure our patients get the level of care they deserve.

Objective: Make sure our patients receive accurate, timely and compassionate care

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Ordering, Inventory supplies, replenish supplies when received
Assist in maintaining equipment
Create monthly MA team schedule
Train new employees
Ability to answer staff question and concerns after hours
Ability to work extra shifts when needed
Available to answer morning call outs
Escort patient to room
Take vital signs
Document patient data
Assist provider
Discharge patients from room with instructions
Clean room
Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized
Ensure cleanliness of patient waiting area and front office area
Greet and register patients when needed
Conducting Occupational Medicine care- blood draws & injection
Sending Occupational Medicine Results
Assist RPM with daily tasks

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a MA LEAD/Manager a MUST
Must have an MA Diploma - CMA or RMA
Phlebotomy & Injection Experience Required
Professional appearance
Team player who is equally comfortable working independently
Warm, friendly attitude with excellent patient interaction skills
Excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multitask and work independently
Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts and weekends
