We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive Property Accountant who’s ready to take ownership of a portfolio, collaborate with teams across the business, and help us scale with precision and excellence.

What You’ll Do

Own the Numbers

Manage daily accounting activities for a portfolio of multifamily properties and related entities
Monitor general ledger activity and identify necessary accruals and adjustments
Prepare and post journal entries across revenue, banking, and property activity

Drive Accuracy & Insight

Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations with precision
Maintain supporting schedules (AR, AP, prepaid rent, intercompany, loans, accruals)
Analyze financial activity and investigate variances

Keep the Business Moving

Track and ensure timely payments (taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions)
Assist with accounts payable processes as needed
Calculate cash available for distribution and identify shortfalls

Deliver High-Impact Reporting

Compile monthly reporting packages that leadership can rely on
Support audit and tax processes with accurate and organized documentation
Assist with transactions like acquisitions, dispositions, and refinances

Collaborate & Improve

Partner with property operations teams and fellow accountants across locations
Support due diligence efforts and special projects
Contribute to process improvements that enhance scalability, controls, and efficiency

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2–3+ years of accounting experience (real estate or property accounting a plus)
Strong Excel skills (you know your way around formulas and data)
Experience with Yardi is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with confidence
