This senior leadership role sits atthe heart of the Academys mission: ensuring that student-athletes pursue elite snow sport training alongside a rigorous, college-preparatory academic experience.
The Director of Development and Admissions takes the lead on fundraising and works collaboratively with the admissions team to ensure the financial health and enrollment in a student-first culture where high performance in sport is thoughtfully balanced with intellectual growth, character development, and personal well-being.As a key partner to the Executive Director & Head of School, this leader will engage and grow the donor base and help recruit and retain elite student- athletes who are a defining strength of Waterville Valley Academy. The Academy offers fourteen Advanced Placement courses across STEM, humanities,and social sciences, and holds a Platinum status on the AP Honor Roll from the College Board. This leader will also build strong partnerships with families, foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive schoolclimate, to cultivate a healthy, respectful, and thriving school community.This is a year-round, full-time position on the WVBBTS Administrative team, reporting to the Executive Director. This is a wide-ranging position that will work closely with the Executive Director and other staff to accomplish the organizations fundraising, recruitment, and retention goals.
Job Summary: The Director of Development and Admissions is responsible for the overall fundraising efforts of the organization and overseeing the admissions process. Services include Donor and Alumni outreach, prepare and present regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals. Manage grant writing and identification of new grant opportunities. Generate donor communications, newsletters, and annual reports.
Plan and execute special events, community and business outreach, new student recruitment, pre-admissions advising, current student retention, and completing any tasks that align with the marketing and recruitment plan. The Director of Development and Admissions will work as a together with the Head of School and the marketing team in developing and implementing fundraising, marketing and recruitment strategies. Coordinates high school and business visitation programs. Plans and coordinates on campus and outreach events such as informational open houses, visitations and tours, business and industry visits, etc.. Designs and develops targeted and strategic outreach programs.oTracks statistics, gathers data, and writes reports.
