Construction Project Administrator
The Project Administrator will play a key role in keeping project operations running smoothly by providing administrative, coordination, and document control support to the project team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working collaboratively to keep complex construction projects organized and on track.
- Work Environment: On-Site
- Location & Project Information: This will be a large datacenter project located near Bismarck, ND
- Work Schedule: 50 hours / week or based on project schedule needs. Opportunities to travel to additional project sites may be available.
- Work Type: Full Time
- Travel Details: This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be located onsite at a project location for the duration of the project. Per diem will be provided for those traveling greater than 75 miles form their home address. This position will be eligible for routine travel home.
- Provide administrative support to Project Managers and the project team throughout all phases of construction.
- Coordinate and maintain project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
- Assist with document control and ensure project files are accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and distribute follow-up action items.
- Support project reporting by preparing project logs, status updates, and other documentation.
- Coordinate communication between project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Assist with onboarding project team members and coordinating project logistics.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and other project-related administrative tasks.
- Track project deliverables and help ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive project and financial information.
- Perform other administrative and coordination duties as assigned.
- Thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoy supporting project teams.
- Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Take initiative, solve problems proactively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office and eager to learn construction management software.
- Value accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality in their work.
- Enjoy collaborating with others and are committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative, project coordination, or construction support role preferred.
- Experience working in the commercial construction industry is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
