Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Line Cook to lead our culinary team and ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality and service. This role combines hands-on cooking with team supervision, menu planning, inventory control, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. As a key leader in our kitchen, you will foster a positive work environment, uphold operational excellence, and contribute to a memorable dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about fine dining, hospitality, and team management.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures
Lead food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment
Supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks and support team members, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback
Manage inventory control and food production to minimize waste while maintaining optimal stock levels
Plan menus in collaboration with culinary leadership, incorporating dietary requirements and catering needs
Enforce strict food handling protocols and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff coverage and overseeing catering events or banquet services
Monitor costs related to food management, labor, and supplies to optimize operational efficiency
Collaborate with restaurant management on food service management initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction

Experience

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on kitchen management or line cooking
Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising culinary teams in high-volume environments
Extensive background in food production, menu planning, and food safety sanitizing procedures
Experience working in fine dining establishments or catering environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of inventory management systems and cost control strategies within the food industry
Familiarity with dietary department standards and catering operations is a plus
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
