Full Job Description

Without you as head housekeeper, our hotels would rapidly come to a sticky end – literally. Your primary role is to supervise, train and work alongside your staff to ensure all hotel rooms are clean and in tip-top condition.

We have a long existing clientele that expects a certain standard, and ability to interact in a professional and helpful manner with said guests is a must.

Required to inspect rooms, train housekeeping staff and maintain existing housekeeping staff standards. Laundry and supply inventory oversight. Training staff to help during the peak season to inspect is also an option.

This for sure is a cleaning position, and as the season progresses more of an Inspector position.

During the off-season, expectations to clean, alert and help with minor maintenance issues, painting or other tasks as assigned.

Key responsibilities:

Dealing with Owners, Operations & General Manger(s) for linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies, such as soap, shampoo, etc.
Controlling supply costs, as well as laundry, maintenance and wages
Assigning rooms to housekeeping
Overseeing maintenance reports and audits of room cleanliness
Ensuring lost property is kept safely and returned to its owner
Oversee and manage housekeeping staff
Possibly overseeing supervisors and linen room and cleaning supplies staff

Seasonality: Generally it is 40 hours a week (8 hour days, 5 days a week) during our off season (November through April), and 50+ hours when we are open daily at peak season (May - October - 6 to 8 hour shifts, 7 days a week).
