Financial Controller

Controller – Manufacturing

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Company

We are a small manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical products serving the defense and commercial industries. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to manage accounting and financial operations while working closely with senior management on business and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting and financial operations.
Prepare financial statements and management reports.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and cost analysis.
Maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
Assist with strategic planning, pricing, contracts, and business decisions.
Work with outside accountants, auditors, and financial professionals as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Approximately 10 years of accounting or finance experience.
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
CPA is a plus, but not required.
Experience with government accounting requirements is desirable.
