Join Our Growing Team!

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of horizontal construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth while working alongside experienced project managers on roadway, site development, utility, earthwork, grading, and infrastructure projects.

Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with project administration, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and field support to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project operations.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
Track project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
Assist with project budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
Prepare and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Support procurement of materials and equipment.
Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Maintain project documentation and reporting.
Assist with permitting and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and utility companies.
Promote and support company safety programs and policies.
Conduct occasional site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.
1–3 years of construction experience preferred.
Knowledge of horizontal construction practices, including earthwork, utilities, roadway, and site development projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with project management software such as Procore, HCSS, Viewpoint, or Primavera is a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
