Full Job Description

Sous Chef

Grand Villa of Ocala is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our compassionate team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a supportive environment that values seniors' well-being, we invite you to apply and become a vital part of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook nutritious, appealing meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ preferences
Supervise and assist kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food service
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health and safety regulations
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items
Collaborate with the dining team to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs
Ensure timely delivery of meals and excellent service to residents
Follow all safety protocols and assist in training new staff as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven culinary experience, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary regulations
Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including some afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Level two background check and drug screening clearance required
Passion for working with seniors and providing compassionate care
