Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals and families, ensuring access to essential social services and advocating for their well-being. Your expertise will help empower high-risk populations, including children, families, and individuals with disabilities, to overcome challenges and achieve stability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community by delivering culturally sensitive care and crisis intervention when needed.

Duties

Assess clients’ needs through interviews, observations, and collaboration with other service providers to develop tailored support plans.
Provide crisis intervention and crisis management during emergencies, ensuring immediate safety and stabilization for clients in distress.
Advocate for children and families involved in child protective services, child welfare, and family law cases, ensuring their rights are protected.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver child & family services, behavioral health support, and social services that meet individual needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, service plans, progress notes, and incident reports using Microsoft Office tools.
Support high-risk populations by implementing conflict management strategies and behavioral health interventions.
Communicate effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, employing bilingual skills when applicable to enhance understanding and trust.
Conduct home visits, facilitate group sessions, and provide client communication that fosters engagement and empowerment.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications; respond promptly to emergencies requiring child & family safety measures.
Collaborate with community organizations to facilitate access to childcare, housing resources, legal assistance, and disability services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field; licensure or certification preferred.
Proven experience working with children, families, individuals with disabilities, or high-risk populations in social work or related settings.
Strong knowledge of child protective services, child welfare practices, family law, and behavioral health principles.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively advocate for clients and document case progress.
Ability to manage crises efficiently through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse communities effectively.
Demonstrated conflict management skills coupled with sensitivity when working with culturally diverse communities.
Valid certifications in CPR and first aid; experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
