Position:

Baerg & Associates, LLP is looking for our next team member to fill the role of staff accountant. This position is an excellent opportunity to further develop knowledge and skills in audit, tax, and accounting and earn the required audit experience for your CPA certificate.

Responsibilities; include but are not limited to:

1. Prepare tax returns - individual, business, fiduciary, and not-for-profit organizations

2. Communicate directly with clients on various engagements

3. Assist with compilation, review, and audit engagements in a variety of industries

4. Conduct tax research and assist on consulting projects

Skills/Attributes:

Application of business and accounting concepts to real-life scenarios. Knowledge of basic accounting functions. Ability to work with technical accuracy, attention to detail and compliance with instructions. Must be able to organize, prioritize and coordinate workload to meet critical deadlines. Must demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of the following programs, preferred, but not required: Excel and Word, QuickBooks, tax and workpaper management software.

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. 1-3 years minimum of public accounting experience is preferred.
