About ARS Investment Advisors
At Advanced Retirement Strategies, we are a small, collaborative, and entrepreneurial Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) dedicated to helping families, retirees, and business owners secure their financial futures.
We offer the best of both worlds: the tight-knit, flexible culture of a local boutique firm, backed by the powerhouse resources, compliance, and cutting-edge investment research of a premier national partner, Carson Wealth. We work hard, collaborate closely, and genuinely enjoy helping our clients navigate life's big transitions.
Why This Role is Different
This is not a traditional, paperwork-heavy operational role.
We believe the best way to develop a Lead Advisor is to get them in the room where it happens. From Day 1, you will be deeply embedded in financial planning, client strategy, and relationship management. While you will work as a team with the Lead Advisor during client onboarding, our dedicated operations team handles the back-office paperwork and asset transfers. Your focus is entirely on the client experience and the art of planning.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Plan Management & Building: Assist the Lead Advisor in building, auditing, and implementing comprehensive financial plans. This includes crafting tax projections, MoneyGuidePro retirement plans, long-term care/life insurance analyses, and portfolio construction.
- Active Meeting Participation: Attend client meetings alongside the Lead Advisor, actively helping to present financial plans and ensuring all critical action items are accurately captured and executed.
- Client Onboarding: Partner with the Lead Advisor to guide new clients smoothly through our onboarding experience, establishing deep trust from the very beginning.
- Relationship Management: Directly service and nurture an existing book of smaller client households representing roughly $10M in assets. There is zero cold-calling or prospecting required. This is a curated opportunity to run your own client relationships, build confidence, and develop the exact skills required to transition into a Lead Advisor.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience within the financial services industry (ideally with a solid understanding of how a small RIA operates).
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, or a related field. You must hold a CFP® certification or be actively pursuing it.
- Planning Foundations: A rock-solid foundational understanding of core planning principles, specifically retirement planning, tax planning, and investment strategies.
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: Strong technical skills and a high level of comfort learning and leveraging financial tech platforms (MoneyGuidePro, CRMs, etc.).
- The Right Fit: A collaborative, self-motivated teammate who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where everyone rows together.
Benefits:
- Work-Life Balance Built-In: Enjoy an attractive office schedule: Monday – Thursday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and Fridays (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM). Note: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role; hours outside of core office time can be managed flexibly.
- Time Off: 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) starting in Year 1.
- Receive 30% of insurance sales & new Financial Planning Fees that you are a part of.
- Retirement: Company-sponsored 401(k) plan.
- Healthcare Note: While we do not offer a traditional group health insurance plan, we are highly open to discussing a potential monthly stipend to help offset your private or marketplace insurance costs.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- 401(k) matching
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
