As we launch our new Northern Utah location, we're looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Garage Floor Coating Technician to become a key member of our team. This is more than an installer position—it's an opportunity to help build a successful business from the ground up and grow into a leadership role as we expand.

No garage floor coating experience is required if you have a strong construction background and the willingness to learn. We provide paid training on our proprietary installation process.
What You'll Do
As the Lead Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional results while setting the standard for quality, safety, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the installation of premium concrete floor coating systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Operate professional concrete grinding and dust collection equipment.
- Repair cracks and surface imperfections to prepare concrete for coating.
- Mix and apply industrial-grade epoxy, polyaspartic, and urethane coating systems.
- Apply decorative vinyl flakes and protective topcoats.
- Ensure every project meets Granite Garage Floors' quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial customers throughout each project.
- Safely operate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Maintain organized jobsites, equipment, and inventory.
- Complete job documentation and project photos using company technology.
- Assist in training and mentoring future technicians as the company grows.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper PPE and silica dust control practices.
- Represent Granite Garage Floors with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and producing high-quality finished work.
Ideal experience includes one or more of the following:
- Construction
- Concrete finishing or repair
- Flooring installation
- Painting or coatings
- Carpentry
- Remodeling
- Tile installation
- Industrial maintenance
- Automotive refinishing
- General contracting
Previous experience leading small crews or mentoring employees is highly valued but not required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 Certification or able to acquire.
- Ability to pass DOT Medical Card Physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfortable operating hand and power tools.
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with high workmanship standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for project documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently kneel, squat, bend, climb, and work on concrete surfaces.
- Stand and work for extended periods throughout the day.
- Work safely in residential garages and commercial environments during all seasons.
- Wear respirators and required personal protective equipment.
