Full Job Description

Payroll and Billing Specialist

Whether your title is administrator, direct support or manager, we believe every role is important and we couldn't enable our clients to achieve their best lives without everyone on our team.

We are looking for a Payroll and Medicaid Billing Specialist. This individual will work closely with our leaders to accurately process weekly payroll in accordance with laws and regulations using ADP Run, as well as processing all billing claims through our billing system, Brittco, for reimbursement by deadline. This individual will be trained into Payee Services as well. It is expected this position will start part time, Monday through Wednesday and add additional hours and the work increases over time to be full time.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Process time sheets by verifying data with time cards or other documentation submitted by Residential and Day Services coordinators/managers
Perform clerical duties associated with daily reports, attendance sheets, PTO tracking timecards, pay adjustments, and all other activities to create an accurate payroll and maintain up to date records
Submit Medicaid Billing records accurately to reimbursement on time
Able to ensure benefit deductions are properly deducted and payments forwarded to appropriate partners
Comfortable processing and submitting any garnishment/child support deductions & other deductions
Complete financial functions in Quickbooks, like bank reconciliations, credit card verifications, etc.
Gather information required for audits, tax preparation and financial reporting
Provide feedback in a helpful manner to appropriate parties and guidance to improve billing procedures
Primary point of contact for all payroll & billing related inquiries
Participate in Orientation of newly hired employees with payroll presentation
Other duties as needed
Complete payee service payments on time
Complete reporting and other clerical duties as needed

Skills Needed:

High School Diploma/GED or higher, coursework in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of computer programs like ADP Run, Quickbooks and Sandata
Experience with payroll processing and payroll systems
The ability to work independently and adhere to expectations
Be deadline driven
Have a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion
