Full Job Description

Travel CT Technologist – Columbus, OH (13-Week Contract)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Facility: Level I Trauma Center
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 07/27/2026
Shift: Nights – 4x10 Hours (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend | Call Rotation Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy Level I Trauma Center performing high-volume diagnostic CT imaging for emergency, inpatient, and trauma patients. The technologist will operate GE and Toshiba/Cannon CT systems, administer contrast, and provide exceptional patient care while following ARRT and radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic CT examinations for emergency, inpatient, ICU, and trauma patients.
Prepare and position patients for CT procedures.
Administer IV contrast and monitor patients during imaging.
Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs as needed.
Generate multiplanar reconstructions (MPR) and 3D image post-processing.
Operate GE and Toshiba/Cannon CT scanners.
Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards.
Document procedures accurately using Epic EMR and PACS.
Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience (Level I or II Trauma experience may be considered with slightly less experience).
Level I Trauma experience required.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Previous experience in a large acute care or trauma hospital preferred.
Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Cannon CT equipment.
Epic EMR experience required.

Required Certifications

ARRT (R)
ARRT (CT) Preferred
BLS
Ohio State Radiologic License (Pending license accepted)

Facility Highlights

Level I Trauma Center
High-volume department performing approximately 270–290 CT scans daily
Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
Free Parking
Charcoal Gray Scrubs

Additional Information

Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Call rotation required
COVID-19 vaccine not required
Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
