Summary
SILICON RESOURCING SOLUTIONS, LLC.
As an administrative assistant you will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including filing, scheduling, communication and support of office management. You will assist in recruitment and hiring processes with an opportunity for a junior recruiter role. As a junior recruiter you will be expected to support the following functions: recruitment, hiring, career development; developing, update, and maintain policies, policy manuals as required and support SRS’s hiring needs and participate at job fairs or other job related events.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
· assisting in the onboarding strategy and recruitment, setting high standard principles and providing likely solutions.
· supporting and training hiring managers, identifying practical hiring solutions, and recommending appropriate action plans and strategies.
· sourcing candidates by using websites, databases, social media, staffing agencies.
· conducting prescreening phone interviews, filtering candidates, giving feedback to applicants and hiring managers.
· conducting on-boarding days.
· responsible to manage direct search and participate at off-site recruiting events.
· may interface with staffing agencies, and other employment organizations.
· ensures personnel on-boarding training and prepare documents for the on-boarding day.
· develops and implements applicant database, reporting, data analysis, and employee referral programs.
· responsible for keeping records per employment law.
· provide general administrative and clerical support in hiring process.
· maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
· obtaining background and reference checks.
· participates in internal office and HR audits.
· performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Specifications
- Must be fluent in English. Spanish is an advantage. (If Spanish is spoken fluently, interest in translating at company meetings, translation of documents.)
- minimum 2 years experience in administrative field and/or 2-3 years’+ experience in recruiting personnel in the same sector or industry, or other kinds of recruitment, such as college recruitment, etc.
- Has a knowledge of employment laws especially regarding hiring and interviewing.
- Expert Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Power Point, Gmail, Google Shared documents, Excel).
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- High standard of attention to detail. Be able to work fast and work under pressure.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize work.
- Good administrative and report writing skills.
- Be able to do overtime when required.
- Be able to travel when necessary.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with executives, middle level managers, employees, job applicants and the general public are crucial for a recruiter.
- Be familiar with recruiting and hiring web sites to know where to find potential applicants, be familiar with analyzing job postings and suggest improvements
- computer skills using spreadsheets, databases, graphic presentation programs and Web-based applications
- Be familiar with selection methods, different interview types, Assessment Centers.
- Strong decision-making skill.
Education and/or Experience
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Administrative and/or Human Resource and/or recruitment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Language Skills
English language skills a must. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Moderate Math Skills.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify, communicate, and solve various problems in various department in addition to escalating needed issues.
