We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and self-motivated Court Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily maintenance and care of our tennis, pickleball, and bocce facilities.
Position Summary
The Court Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining championship-quality playing surfaces throughout the facility. This position requires prior experience maintaining Har-Tru HydroCourt tennis courts and an individual who takes pride in producing exceptional court conditions every day.
This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards.
ResponsibilitiesHar-Tru Tennis Court Maintenance
- Daily grooming and preparation of Har-Tru HydroCourt tennis courts
- Proper dragging, brushing, line sweeping, and rolling of courts
- Operate and monitor HydroCourt irrigation systems
- Repair low areas, worn baselines, service boxes, and other surface imperfections
- Apply and distribute new Har-Tru material as needed
- Maintain proper moisture levels based on weather conditions
- Clean court lines and maintain professional playing conditions
- Inspect and maintain nets, center straps, benches, scorekeepers, windscreens, and court accessories
Pickleball Court Maintenance
- Clean hard courts daily
- Remove debris, leaves, and standing water
- Pressure wash courts when necessary
- Inspect nets, fencing, gates, and windscreens
- Report cracks or maintenance issues
Bocce Court Maintenance
- Groom and level court surfaces
- Maintain proper moisture and playing conditions
- Add and redistribute court material as needed
- Maintain court edges and surrounding areas
General Facility Maintenance
- Operate utility vehicles, rollers, blowers, sweepers, and maintenance equipment safely
- Perform preventative maintenance on maintenance equipment
- Assist with landscaping and maintaining clean outdoor common areas
- Support tournament and event setup and breakdown
- Maintain maintenance logs and communicate repair needs to management
- Help ensure the facility presents a clean, safe, and professional appearance at all times
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining Har-Tru tennis courts
- Experience with HydroCourt irrigation systems preferred
- Knowledge of clay court grooming, watering, rolling, and repairs
- Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical outdoor work in Florida's climate
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience maintaining pickleball courts and bocce courts
- Experience preparing courts for tournaments and league play
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Irrigation system troubleshooting experience
