Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Apartment Manager to join our property management team. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day operations of residential communities, ensuring exceptional tenant experiences and efficient property management. Your expertise in property leasing, tenant relations, administrative processes, and property maintenance will drive the success of our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while contributing to a vibrant, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including application screening, lease signing, and renewals using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite.
Provide outstanding customer service by addressing resident inquiries, resolving conflicts promptly, and maintaining positive client relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
Support property leasing efforts by upselling available units and coordinating property tours to prospective tenants.
Oversee administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records related to tenant files, contracts, and compliance documentation such as LIHTC and Section 8 programs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure property maintenance requests are addressed efficiently while adhering to safety standards and fair housing regulations.
Assist in budgeting activities, expense tracking, and financial reporting related to property operations.
Manage conflict resolution among tenants or staff while upholding company policies and legal requirements under landlord-tenant law.

Qualifications

Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management environments; experience with property management companies is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems.
Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, Section 8 programs, and contracts management.
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative tasks.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict effectively and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
