Full Job Description

Optometric Technician

Ridgeview Eye Care is a growing, patient-focused optometry practice looking for a motivated Optometric Technician to join our clinical team. We pride ourselves on delivering an unmatched patient experience while supporting our staff with strong training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow.

What You’ll Do:

Assist doctors during comprehensive eye exams
Perform pre-testing and diagnostic testing (Optos, OCT, visual fields, etc.)
Obtain accurate patient histories and document findings in the EHR
Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and next steps
Support specialty services such as dry eye, contact lenses, myopia management, and medical eye care
Help maintain clinic flow and a positive patient experience

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a healthcare/clinical role preferred (but willing to train the right person)
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Friendly, professional, and patient-centered mindset
Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
Team player who takes pride in doing things the right way
