We are currently seeking a Project Engineer who will have technical responsibility for assigned projects and/or products. In this role, the Project Engineer will set the requirements for inspections of equipment as well as the requirements for repair and reassembly. In addition to technical responsibility for equipment, the Project Engineer will create the technical scope for assigned opportunities. Although the Project Engineer needs to consider cost when developing solutions, he is not responsible for the commercial aspects of the project.
Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects, overseeing scope development, execution, and support from kickoff through completion
Develop detailed technical scopes for proposals and post-inspection (DCI) work, collaborating closely with sales and business development teams
Conduct job walks and site visits to assess project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and identify upgrade or improvement opportunities
Interface directly with clients to define engineered solutions, lead technical discussions, and support presentations and project reviews
Lead troubleshooting efforts in the field and shop, driving issues to root cause and implementing permanent corrective actions
Coordinate with Field Service Superintendents, shop teams, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment on project scope, inspections, and execution
Support project logistics, including safety planning, scheduling, travel (flights, hotels, rentals), training, and overall job readiness
Identify and qualify parts, equipment, and service vendors from a technical standpoint to support project success
Develop and maintain technical standards, SOPs, and “Disassemble, Clean, and Inspect” (DCI) procedures for field and shop work
Contribute to project management activities, including proposal generation, WIP tracking, change orders, and post-job lessons learned

BS in Engineering – Preferably Mechanical Engineering
10 years of related field service and/or mechanical experience working with steam turbines, integral reciprocating engines or centrifugal compressors.
Knowledge of industry and market trends.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Approachable and acts with integrity and provides excellent service to all levels of employees and clients.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with an Oil & Gas Industry background as well as the ability to use a wide range of mechanical tools and test equipment.
Work is performed at industrial, utility and field locations.
Travel up to 70% required to customer sites and corporate locations.
Able and willing to work day/night shifts, weekends and holidays as determined by client needs.
Understands project objectives and proactively identifies field-level solutions to stay on schedule and within scope. Flexible in response to dynamic site conditions.
Highly organized and efficient in managing crew activities and worksite coordination. Keeps jobs moving forward by addressing obstacles quickly and maintaining workflow.
A hands-on leader with strong work ethic and accountability. Maintains calm under pressure and builds a positive jobsite culture.
Capable of making quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Able to troubleshoot issues using real-world experience and logic.

Effective communicator who can collaborate with crews, subcontractors, and project managers. Dependable, respectful, and committed to team success and safety.
Environmental Requirements
This position requires daily travel to active job sites in various phases of construction. Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor environments, around heavy equipment and construction noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, and use hands to handle tools or equipment. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
