Full Job Description

US Weight / Escalade Sports in Olney, Illinois is accepting applications for a Production Lead. The Production Lead will assist the manufacturing manager with production activities in the pack/fill department at the Olney, IL location. The Production Lead is responsible for the efficient production of quality products. He/she is also responsible for the employees working in his/her assigned area.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Supervises production is his/her assigned area
Instill discipline in his/her assigned area ensuring all employees are following the correct processes & obeying all plant rules
Makes process improvement suggestions
Manages employees time on the job with production needs
Inspects production equipment, proactively minimizing down time
Inspects product for quality defects
Complete required daily production paperwork
Promote & monitor safety in his/her assigned area including proper housekeeping and completing near miss/accident reports when necessary
Relieve employees as needed to maximize productivity

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma
3+ years of related experience
Previous leadership experience
Possesses strong planning skills
Demonstrates effective communication skills

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 65 pounds
Stooping and kneeling

Working Conditions

Non-Climate controlled production environment
Day shift schedule

Qualified applicants will be at least 18 years of age.

Post-offer screenings will include a background check and a drug test.
