Customer Service Representative - Primary Cashier
- Welcome and provide information to customers upon arrival.
- Provide assistance to customers needing help with selecting appropriate equipment, use of equipment, and Donor Closet policies related to donations, repairs, returns, etc.
- Receive and processes monetary donations from customers for medical equipment, medical supplies, including cash donations, deposits, and rental fees. Provides customers with appropriate documentation and receipts for donation(s).
- Complete or assist in completing documentation for customer pick up of equipment, deliveries of equipment, customer holds, etc. using Donor Closet forms.
- Represent the Donor Closet to the public by answering incoming phone lines as needed in a professional, friendly manner and documenting messages for Donor Closet staff.
- Complete end of the day cash processing including reserve cash for next day, and deposit slip with tallied donations for the day.
- Maintain an organized, clean, well-supplied, and welcoming work area.
Customer Service Representative – Back-up Cashier
- Welcome and provide information to customers upon arrival at the Donor Closet.
- Assist with receiving and processing monetary donations from customers for medical equipment, medical supplies, including cash donations, deposits, and rental fees. Provides customers with appropriate documentation and receipts for donation(s).
- Complete or assist in completing documentation for customer pick up of equipment, deliveries of equipment, customer holds, etc. using Donor Closet forms.
- Represent the Donor Closet to the public by answering incoming phone lines as needed in a professional, friendly manner and documenting messages for Donor Closet staff.
- Completes end of the day cash processing including reserve cash for next day, and deposit slip with tallied donations for the day when primary cashier not available.

Customer Service Representative – Greeter / Phone / Donations Assistant
- Welcome and provide information to customers upon arrival at the Donor Closet.
- Represent the Donor Closet to the public by answering incoming phone lines as needed in a professional, friendly manner and documenting messages for Donor Closet staff.
- Provide callers with general information regarding the Donor Closet including mission, store information, accepted donations, etc.
- Assists with receiving and processing equipment and supply donations from customers including assist with unloading vehicles, directing customers to donation area, and providing tax receipt for donations as requested.
· Provide assistance to customers needing help with selecting appropriate equipment, use of equipment, and Donor Closet policies related to donations, repairs, returns, etc.
Customer Service Representative – Greeter / Sales Floor Float
· Welcome and provide information to customers upon arrival at the Donor Closet.
· Direct customers to locations of requested/needed equipment.
· Provide assistance to customers needing help with selecting appropriate equipment, use of equipment, and Donor Closet policies related to donations, repairs, returns, etc.
· Ensure fully stocked areas on the sales floor, and items are appropriately organized and displayed.
· Assist with transporting equipment to register area; assists volunteers with labelling purchases to indicate sales, delivery or pick up plan.
Power Mobility Technician
· Review, repair and clean power mobility devices and medical equipment in preparation for placement on the sales floor. This may include power wheelchairs, power scooters, electric travel chairs, electric patient lifts, and other miscellaneous electrical equipment.
· Provide assistance to volunteers and customers needing help with troubleshooting repair needs, repairing equipment, and completing safety checks of same.
· Test batteries, battery chargers as needed prior to installing in power mobility or electrical equipment/devices.
· Routinely checks battery charge levels of power mobility devices on sales floor.
· Assist with recycling of batteries, parts, equipment, etc. that are beyond economical repair.
Manual Mobility Technician
· Reviews, repairs and cleans mobility devices and medical equipment in preparation for placement on the sales floor. This includes manual wheelchairs, custom wheelchairs, Rollators, walkers, over-bed tables, patient lifts, and other misc. medical equipment.
· Provides assistance to volunteers and customers needing help with troubleshooting repair needs, repairing equipment, and completing safety checks of same.
· Assists with recycling of wheelchairs, walkers, parts, equipment, etc. beyond economical repair.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Technician
· Review, repairs and cleans hospital beds, lift chairs, and medical equipment in preparation for placement on the sales floor. This may include beds, lift chairs, electric patient lifts and other miscellaneous electrical equipment.
· Provide assistance to volunteers and customers needing help with troubleshooting repair needs, repairing equipment, and completing safety checks of same.
· Tests motors, wiring, control units, as needed prior to installing on durable medical equipment.
· Assists with recycling of equipment, parts, etc. that are beyond economical repair.
Warehouse/Equipment Technician
- Complete initial screening and sorting of donated equipment and medical supplies located in the intake area.
- Place sorted equipment and supplies in appropriate repair and/or cleaning work areas.
- Store overflow supplies and equipment in appropriate holding areas.
- Clean and sanitizes bathroom safety equipment, ambulation aids, wheelchair cushions and accessories, transfer aids etc. in priority of stock levels on sales floor.
Driver – DME Deliveries/ Pick-ups
- Represent the Donor Closet to the public when scheduling/confirming deliveries/pick-ups by phone in a professional, friendly manner and documenting pertinent information.
- Review Donor Closet delivery and pick-up requests before scheduled appointment to ensure date/time established, environment check (house/apartment, steps/elevator etc.).
- Perform deliveries including loading, delivery, unloading, set up, and explanation of equipment.
- Provide customer with appropriate Donor Closet paperwork for delivery or pick up; obtains signature prior to leaving residence; provides tax receipt as requested.
- Complete regular maintenance checks of vehicles including engine, tires, storage area as assigned. Takes MSHH van for repair, tune-up when needed.
- Assist with routine warehouse duties (i.e. receiving, stocking, and cleaning) donations.
Pay: $1.00 per year
